Privacy policy
What we collect, and what we do with it
The short version: a little anonymous traffic data if you allow it, whatever you write to us if you write to us, and nothing else. None of it is sold, and none of it goes to advertisers.
Who is responsible
This site presents Villa Samaddhi, a private villa in Peliatan, Ubud, managed by Bali Super Host. The same owner runs the villa's social accounts and the small set of private tools described further down. For anything on this page, write to [email protected].
What this website collects
Nothing at all until you say yes. Analytics are switched off by default: measurement and advertising storage are both denied when the page loads, and they stay denied unless you accept on the banner.
If you accept, Google Analytics records which pages are opened and which booking or inquiry links are clicked, with your address shortened so it does not identify you. It tells us that twenty people read the page about the rice terrace walk and two of them went on to ask about dates. It does not tell us who you are, and we have no way to connect it to your name.
If you decline, the measurement stays off and the site works exactly the same. Nothing on this site is behind consent.
Cookies
One cookie remembers your answer to the banner, so you are not asked again on every page. If you accepted, the analytics cookies described above are also set. If you declined, that one cookie is all there is.
If you write to us
A WhatsApp message or an email reaches the villa's manager directly. We keep the conversation while we answer you and while we look after your stay, and then it goes. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your details to anyone who is not involved in your stay.
Bookings themselves are taken on the management platform rather than on this site, so payment details never pass through these pages.
The villa's own tools
The owner uses a small private application to look after the villa's Pinterest account. It is worth describing plainly, because it touches an account rather than a website visitor.
It is used by one person, the villa's owner, on one account, the villa's own Pinterest business profile. It reads that account's own boards, pins and pin statistics, so the owner can see which photographs people save and decide what to publish next, and it publishes pins that the owner has written and approved in advance. Every image is the villa's own photography or a stock photograph licensed for the purpose.
It reads nothing belonging to any other Pinterest member. It never asks anyone to sign in, never collects or stores a Pinterest password, and never touches a session cookie. The only way it reaches the account is the authorization flow Pinterest provides for the purpose, which hands back a token that can be withdrawn at any time from the account's own settings without changing a password. That token is held in the project's encrypted secret store, is read by nobody, and is used for no purpose beyond the one described here.
Nothing obtained from Pinterest is sold, shared with a third party, used for advertising, or combined with anything collected on this website.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and we will do it. Write to [email protected] or send a WhatsApp message to +62 812-3709-7070. You can also withdraw your consent to analytics at any time by clearing this site's cookies, which puts the banner back.
Content on this site
The text and the photographs belong to the villa owner and the photographers who made them. Please do not reuse them without asking. The rest of the terms are on the legal page.
